St Piran in Cornish Granite
Stéphane Rouget and David Paton have been commisioned to carve a 3.5 m tall St Piran in Cornish Granite for the iconic Vallée des Saints in brittany!
The carving will take place in the Trenoweth Quarry in Mabe from the 21st of May to the 28th of October 2017.
He will then take residence in a location in falmouth then cross the channel in May 2018 aboard an old wooden sailing boat “la Nébuleuse”.
St Piran will be the 100th saint to rest on La Vallée des Saints and will be the main focus of their 10th anniversary. Exciting times for Stéphane, David and Tim Marsh at the Trenoweth Quarry.
